Before you go we would like to draw your attention to a few things which are nice to know

A visa is needed to get into Kenya. It is necessary to fill in the eVisa in due time before your journey. Price is 51 USD. Please be sure to have at least one blank visa page in your passport.

When you arrive at the airport try to get to the passport counter as quickly as possible. The queue may be long.

Before you leave the airport you will have the opportunity to withdraw cash from one of the ATMs at the airport. This is probably the cheapest way to get cash.

You can use credit card almost everywhere in Kenya including restaurants and supermarkets etc.
Only cash is accepted at market places and similar places.

Currency is Kenyan Shilling. 1 USD is about 100 KES and 1 EUR is about 120 KES.

Nairobi is located about 1,700 meters above sea level and therefore it never gets very hot. There are two rainy seasons but even in rainy season there is sun and warm weather between the rain showers.

Don’t forget to bring binoculars and mosquito repellent. It is also possible to buy mosquito repellent at the reception desk at Nyati Hill.
